My Journey with Rolfing and Healing. In my 30's, I was in pain—physically, emotionally, mentally, and in ways I hadn’t even discovered. My relationships were struggling, stress was my constant companion, and I felt trapped. I was married, working full-time, raising a child, and—like many men had been taught that my job was to “handle it” by keeping my emotions in check. I had no idea how to do that anymore, because anxiety was flowing through every cell in my body. So, I did what many people do when life gets hard—I tried therapy. Therapy was helpful, but slow and expensive. Then, out of nowhere, I heard the word “Rolfing.” Someone mentioned it in passing -but didn’t explain it. Later, I overheard another person say they were going to get Rolfed. I had no idea what that meant, but I pursued it. I tracked down a practitioner, booked a session, and walked in not knowing what to expect. What happened in that one hour changed my life. For the first time in years, my body felt light, free, and dare I say—happy. It was as if I had been wearing a rigid suit my whole life, and suddenly, someone helped me relax, breathe, and unwind. Sometimes you don't realize how much tension you're holding until you feel it let go. That one session sparked an incredible journey. In 1995, I began studying Rolfing Structural Integration, spending years learning how to help others experience the same freedom I felt. Now, nearly 30 years later, I've worked with many people, helping them unravel years of tension, stress, and pain. The human body never ceases to amaze me.
The body does not lie, it tells the truth.
The Power of Rolfing and Psychotherapy = Deep
Transformation. Many people come to me for pain relief—and they do improve and feel better after a session. But lasting results require something more. You see, pain is often a symptom of something deeper that needs to be addressed. We store memories, emotions, and trauma in our bodies. Rolfing works from the outside in, releasing years of built-up tension layer by layer. As the body unwinds, something incredible happens—Clarity. We began to consciously see who we are, the light and the dark sides of us are revealed. Memories show up - the unspoken truths surface that we’ve carried in our muscles, posture, and bones. Stories of fear, shame, and anger live in our muscles, pulling at us until we're out of alignment and feel heavy with emotional baggage. This is where psychotherapy comes in. The word itself means “care of the soul,” and when combined with Rolfing, creates an incredible pathway to healing. By expressing our truths, we learn to understand our patterns—why we do what we do, and why we feel what we feel. We examine our relationships, and our family histories. We ask the tough questions. When we listen—really pay attention to the messages our body gives us, we unlock wisdom, and feel a graceful ease of movement. We stop relying on our familiar ego, and go deeper into the core of ourselves and find the genuineness
of who we are, with our many gifts and weaknesses. The
perfectly imperfect self who is whole and joyful.
Imagine a world where your body is relaxed, your mind is
clear, and your heart is open. A world where stress, fear, and
shame no longer control you. That’s what this work is about—
learning to move freely, live fully, and embrace the person you were meant to be. I’ve spent the past 35 years discovering the most effective tools for healing. What I’ve learned is this: When we bring our feelings to the surface—when we see them, feel them, and allow healing—life gets better. Dramatically better. And here’s the deal: you don’t have to figure it out alone. Life is a journey. Henry Miller said;
"The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware..."
If anything I’ve said resonates with you—if you’re curious,
